Wittock Supply, a newer division of Michigan-based Standard Electric, was determined to take advantage of the market downturn and create one of the largest plumbing, heating and mechanical suppliers in Michigan. The company planned to open five new locations in less than a year, but in order to be successful, and efficient with its marketing budget, the company recognized the need to start with a strong, unified brand.
PUSH 22 moved quickly to develop a logo and identity standards, as well as a marketing campaign and new website which helped position Wittock among both the trades and consumers as the all-in-one “spot” for plumbing, heating and mechanical products. As the company opened new locations throughout Michigan, the agency utilized the new campaign and a combination of targeted newspaper, broadcast, outdoor and online media, public relations, direct marketing, social media, events and media tie-ins, to build awareness and drive both contractors and consumers to its new locations.
Wittock has been pleased with the response from contractors, consumers and the local press, which reported on the company’s expansion. With 11 locations, over 125,000 square feet of inventory space and over 25,000 square feet of design showroom space, Wittock is well on the way to achieving its expansion goals.
